Is there too much emphasis on healthy living in schools in the United States.

  1. There is not too much emphasis put into healthy living in the United States, because we are one of the most obese and out of shape countries in the world. Whatever small difference can be made during school hours can only help this embarrassing statistic.

  2. I agree with levi and believe eating healthy in school will not affect much.

  3. One healthy school meal does not make much of a difference. A bigger emphasis should be placed on how people eat at all times.

  5. I do not think that there is too much emphasis on healthy living in the United States. I think it is important to stay healthy considering we are one of the most over weight countries.

  6. In my opinion, no, there is not too much emphasis on healthy living. All it is, is people trying to help us keep healthy. There is no harm being done. But, then again, just one healthy meal a day won't stop somebody from going home and eating unhealthily.

  7. I believe that there is an emphasis on healthy living because the students should be able to choose wither they want to be obese or healthy. 1 healthy meal or 10 min of exercise wont change a kids health. The kids who do not care about there health will still eat bad and do nothing the rest of the day.

  8. I wouldn't say that there is too much emphasis, because our country is becoming extremely unhealthy. What is a little overbearing is the fact that the government is coming in and trying to put regulations on what we eat both in and out of school. Educating us is one thing, but for the government to tell schools what they can and can't serve and in what portions, that's a little extreme to me. Give us the education, we need it. But don't force that lifestyle on us, let us make our own healthy choices.
